First-time candidate Melody Bray top fundraiser in District 38 primary race; gets endorsement from Fair Fight PAC
ATLANTA, May 11, 2022—In the latest campaign fundraising disclosure for May 24 primary election, first-time candidate Melody Bray out fundraised all of her opponents for State Senate District 38 primary, including 23-year incumbent Horecena Tate. Bray has raised $145,000 from 427 individual donors.
This comes just as early voting begins and Bray also received a major endorsement from Fair Fight PAC, joining endorsements from Committee for a New Georgia, Georgia WIN List and GA Working Families.
“As a first-time candidate, I’ve been humbled and blown away by the support of Fair Fight PAC and other endorsements, but most important is the support I hope to receive from the voters! Early voting is underway and I am more than ready to be your next State Senator. Our district has had no voice for far too long but the people have spoken up loud and clear that they are ready for proper representation,” said Melody Bray. “The incumbent has put pointless effort towards disqualifying me as a candidate but no effort towards her campaign, filing zero in new fundraising. This mirrors her inaction for the people in the district for years. That’s why it’s time for a change and why I am running to be that desperately needed change for our district and the State.”
Bray first launched her campaign in October 2021 with more than $80,000 committed and momentum for her candidacy has only continued to soar.
“With just a couple weeks left until May 24 election day, I will continue to be out in the community to meet voters and encourage them to join me in fighting for a better district and a better Georgia,” said Bray.
